Parking at Frankfurt Airport and Park, Sleep and Fly Hotels

Frankfurt Airport parking is expensive by the day and reasonable by the week, and the hotels sit somewhere in between. This guide sets out what Fraport charges at the terminals, what the pre-booked options cost, and what each hotel on this site charges to leave a car, so that a park, sleep and fly night can be priced against a plain car park.

Fraport’s terminal car parks

Terminal 1 is served by the multi-storey car parks P2, P3 and P4 (P4 is the business car park closest to the departure halls) and the P8 and P9 garages by the long-distance station; Terminal 3 opened with its own P10 and P11. Without a booking, short-term parking costs €2.50 for the first 15 minutes and €15 for an hour, and the daily maximum runs from about €35 to €42 depending on the car park. Business Parking at P4 starts from €39 a day booked in advance. All the terminal car parks are a covered walk from check-in and have electric-vehicle charging.

Holiday Parking and off-airport operators

For a week away, book. Fraport’s Holiday Parking, at two locations on the airport with a shuttle or SkyLine link to the terminals, starts from about €64 a week when booked online, and the price rises steeply for walk-ins. Off-airport operators in Kelsterbach, Raunheim and Mörfelden, with their own shuttles to the terminal, advertise from about €30 a week through comparison sites; read the shuttle hours before you book, because many stop at night, and check which terminal the shuttle serves now that Terminal 3 is open.

The Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport has a 110-space underground garage with 14 EV chargers charged by the hour or day, and publishes a Park, Sleep & Fly offer; the Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport and Staycity Frankfurt Airport have on-site parking with rates set at the hotel, Staycity’s very limited. The Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt and IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 use paid public garages next door, and the MEININGER Frankfurt Airport has a small garage at €25 a night (height limit 2.10 m) with the public Gateway Gardens car parks as the fallback. The MY CLOUD Transit Hotel is airside and has none.

Park, sleep and fly: the arithmetic

For one night before a flight and a car left for a week, the NH at €25 a day (€175 for seven days) plus a mid-price room is close to Holiday Parking plus a Gateway Gardens room, and it includes a shuttle. The b’mine CarLoft, with parking free for the whole stay, is the bargain if the hotel lets you leave the car after check-out; ask, because the terrace space belongs to the room. For a single overnight, the difference between €28 and €42 hardly matters against the room rate, so choose the hotel by terminal: the walkway hotels for Terminal 1, the IntercityHotel for Terminal 3. Tips

Book any terminal or Holiday Parking online; the walk-up rate is the one in the headlines. Note the exact car park name and level before you fly, because P2, P3 and P4 look alike after ten days. Check that the hotel’s garage accepts your vehicle height (the Park Inn’s limit is 2.00 m) and, for a hotel with 49 spaces like the Holiday Inn, arrive early on trade-fair days or have the public car park as a fallback.
