Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel

Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel is the newer half of the hotel complex beside Terminal 1: 215 rooms and 18 suites, opened in 2020, connected to Terminal 1 and the long-distance station by covered walkway. It shares Hugo-Eckener-Ring 15 with the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport, but has its own entrance, reception, restaurant and a ninth-floor M Club lounge with a terrace looking over the airport. For a Terminal 1 departure it is as close as a full-service hotel gets.

Guest Rooms

The 233 rooms are spread over the upper floors of the complex. Deluxe rooms have a king or two single beds, a work desk, soundproofed windows, air conditioning and a walk-in shower. Family rooms combine a king bed, two singles and a sofa bed for up to five people. The 18 suites add a separate living area. Executive rooms and suites include access to the M Club on the ninth floor, with breakfast, snacks through the day, evening drinks and the terrace.

Breakfast and Dining

Dining is shared across the complex. The Eatery kitchen and bar in the atrium serves the breakfast buffet and an all-day menu, Flavors is the à la carte restaurant, The Bar mixes cocktails until late, and the Davidoff Lounge and Taverne complete the choice. M Club guests have breakfast, snacks and evening drinks in the lounge. Breakfast is normally an extra on the room rate, and Terminal 1’s cafés are a few minutes away for a quicker start.

Facilities and Services

The fitness centre with cardio machines and weights is shared with the Sheraton, as are the sauna and steam room. The M Club lounge is the reason many frequent flyers choose the Marriott over the Sheraton: it is quiet, has the terrace, and is included with Executive rooms and Marriott Bonvoy elite status.

Meeting rooms are shared with the Sheraton’s conference centre (58 rooms, up to 1,200 people). Parking in the complex garage costs €7 an hour, €42 a day or €252 a week, with no EV charging in the hotel garage. Pets up to 40 kg (two per room) are accepted for €60 a stay. Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out at 12:00 pm. There is no shuttle.

Location and Transportation

The Marriott is at Hugo-Eckener-Ring 15, between Terminal 1 and the long-distance ICE station. From Terminal 1 arrivals, follow the Hotels signs into the walkway; the hotel entrance is about five minutes away under cover. The regional station under Terminal 1 (S8 and S9 to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof in 11 to 15 minutes) and the AIRail long-distance station are both a few minutes on foot. The SkyLine people mover to Terminal 3 leaves from the Terminal 1 end of the walkway; allow 10 to 15 minutes to the Terminal 3 check-in hall, more if the replacement bus is running, as our Terminal 3 guide explains.

The city centre is about 20 minutes by taxi or 11 to 15 minutes by S-Bahn to the main station; our airport to city centre guide has the details, and the train station guide covers Rail&Fly and ICE connections from the station next door.

Nearby Alternatives

The Sheraton Frankfurt Airport is the same walk with more restaurants and the day-use rate. The Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport in The Squaire are also on the covered route, directly above the ICE station. For a cheaper night one S-Bahn stop away, see the Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Airport in Gateway Gardens.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I walk from Terminal 1 to the Frankfurt Airport Marriott?

Follow the signs for Hotels or the long-distance railway station from the arrivals level of Terminal 1. The covered walkway leads to the shared Sheraton and Marriott complex in about five minutes; the Marriott has its own entrance and reception inside the building.

What is the difference between the Marriott and the Sheraton at Frankfurt Airport?

They share the building, the address and the walkway. The Marriott is the newer, smaller hotel (233 rooms, opened 2020) with an M Club lounge and family rooms; the Sheraton has 784 rooms, five restaurants and bars and the conference centre. Rates are often similar, so compare both for your dates.

Does the Marriott have family rooms?

Yes. The family rooms have a king bed, two single beds and a sofa bed, sleeping up to five, which is rare at an airport hotel in Frankfurt.
